Letter to Panel / NM Passing Law – 2010, Carbon Cap

Hello. As a youth of Santa Fe, New Mexico I am very concerned about the state’s future, as well as globally. I have lived in Santa Fe for almost 11 years. I go to Monte del Sol Charter school and I am a sophomore this year.
There is so much carbon in our environment, our climate is drastically changing and being effected by several greenhouse gas emissions like carbon. To stop this from happening, we must cut down on emitting carbon (less cars and energy used/consumed), and discover alternate ways to do the things that carbon lets us do. I know that only 3% of carbon being cut down is not a lot at all, but it is a good start. I believe that it can make a difference in our community if we pursue this idea and show the passion our earth deserves. I want my voice/opinion to be heard – because as a future leader I want what is best for our state and I do not want people to be scared or uncertain of what the future brings! Our world is a mess, but we as humans created it so we can also diminish it – together. Thank you for your time.
